Ingredients :Sweet Potato : 2 small or medium sized
Coriander Seeds : 1 tbsp
Chana Dal : 1 tbsp
Urad Dal : 1 tbsp
Dried Red Chillies : 8 to 10
Tamarind : small piece
Garlic : 2 to 4 cloves
Salt to taste
Oil : 2 tsp
Method :
Wash, peel and chop the sweet potatoes into thin slices. Heat a little oil in a heavy bottomed pan. Add and fry the sweet potato slices till they become crisp and light golden color. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool. Heat two teaspoons of oil in a pan and add the coriander seeds, chana dal and urad dal and fry until golden brown color. Finally add the red chillies and fry for another few seconds. Switch off the heat and let it cool completely. Grind the roasted spices, roasted sweet potatoes, salt, tamarind and garlic into a powder. Serve with hot steamed rice and dollop of ghee.
