Dosakaya Kura / Andhra Yellow Cucumber Curry Recipe:
Preparation & Cooking Time : 25 mins
Serves: 3 persons
Chopped Yellow Cucumber: 1 cup
Onion: 2 small sized
Green Chillies: 2 – 3
Dried Red Chillies: 2
Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal: 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal: 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves: 1 sprig
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Oil: 2 tsp
Salt to taste
1. Heat oil in a wok, add the mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal and
let them splutter.
2. Then add the broken red chillies, curry leaves and slit green chillies and fry for a few
3. Add the
chopped onion to it and fry until translucent.
4. Now add the chopped
cucumber, salt, turmeric powder and little water and mix well.
5. Cover with a lid
and cook on low or medium flame until cucumber pieces are soft.
6. When it is
done, remove from the flame and serve hot with rice or roti.
